The Tour de Yorkshire passes the campsite entrance on Thursday 2nd May 2019, this is the first stage of the 4 day event being held in Yorkshire for the 3rd year running. Full details of the exact route and any other information can be found on the Tour de Yorkshire 2019 website.

The local village has 3 pubs, a well-stocked mini supermarket, post office, butchers, and a choice of takeaways – all within 1 mile.
Fishing enthusiasts will find themselves spoilt for choice, as Newport has a variety of lakes and ponds, as well as the canal running through the centre of the village. Bird watchers will also find the area has much to offer, with both the North Cave Wetlands and Blacktoft Reserve.
We are close to the historic market towns of Howden and Beverley and less than an hour away from Leeds, York, The Yorkshire Wolds and the East Coast.
